“Hurricane Special”

The good news: St. Vincent and the Grenadines including Mustique is located at the Southern edge of the hurricane belt. The last time a hurricane passed directly over the Grenadines was in 1955. Hurricanes from Africa usually have a much more Northerly destination. St. Martin and the Virgin Islands are the worst hit in recent times. As the hurricanes continue Florida and the Carolinas could be badly affected as well.  When a hurricane passes North of us, the weather here is absolutely gorgeous, as it will draw all the moisture away from us. We'll have exceptionally clear blue skies and a visibility of 50 miles!

However – because there is this perception that the weather is bad here we are going to offer you an unbelievable special to encourage you to come here during September 2012. Arrive any Saturday and leave any Saturday up to October 6th (leave) and we will reduce all room rates to US$395 a night (plus 10% tax and 10% service). Includes all meals and everything as listed on the website. Choice of rooms on a first come first served basis.

Bear in mind that the dive shop and stables are closed and all the beautiful beaches are deserted. The bar and restaurant at the Firefly is still busy as the most popular place on Mustique for the homeowners and residents on island that month.
