What do I know to need about tipping.
There is a 10% service charge on your room, which you have already paid. This is distributed to all of the kitchen, garden and housekeeping staff. There is a 10% service charge added to your bar bill which is distributed to the bar staff. There is no need for any other tipping unless you feel a particular member of staff has given you service above and beyond your normal expectancy.

Are drinks included?
We serve complimentary juices and “energy Drinks” with breakfast. Otherwise we charge for all drinks. Generally speaking, establishments that serve high end wines and Champagnes (we have some wines over a $1000 a bottle) are never going to offer "drinks included". The only type of hotel that does that would be a "resort hotel" serving cheap generic brands of wine where if you drank all day it would only cost them a few dollars and cost you a hangover!

Are you on the beach?
No, 95% of the homes on Mustique are overlooking the beach on a hill or hillside to take advantage of the cooling breezes. It’s great to lay on the beach and cool off in the sea but once you want to relax on your terrace or poolside it is much better to be “catching the breeze”. Also the sand flies usually make their appearance after 4pm and will invade the areas close by.

How far are you from the beach?
The Firefly is situated on a hill about a hundred yards from the beach.

How far are the other beaches?
The island is only 3 miles by ¾ and most of the beaches are within a five minute ride in the electric car provided. You can then choose your own empty beach and park and step out onto the sand.

Can we have service on the beach?
We can deliver drinks and set up a picnic for you anywhere on the island. There are shaded cabanas on every beach. You can pre-order or use the cell phone provided by us.

What do you supply for us to take to the beach?
Anything you want…Ice chest, drinks, snacks, picnics, pizza, towels, beach chairs, snorkels, fins, Frisbee, volley ball, bat & ball etc.

Can we reserve a cabana/table on the beach?
Yes you can.

Can we get vegetarian meals?
Both the owners are vegetarian (Liz is Vegan) and a fully comprehensive imaginative special vegetarian menu is always available alongside our normal menus at no extra charge.
